Unfortunately, Na’Vi was defeated by FaZe Clan, eliminating them from the tournament and finishing in 9th-12th place. FaZe Clan had previously eliminated another Ukrainian team, Monte, in the first round of the playoffs. Despite their loss, Na’Vi remains a strong contender in the CS2 scene.
ESL Pro League Season 19: Natus Vincere Knocked Out by FaZe Clan
The S-Tier CS2 tournament, ESL Pro League Season 19, is currently underway from April 23rd to May 12th. Thirty-two teams are competing for a prize pool of $750,000 and a slot at IEM Cologne 2024.
On Wednesday, May 8th, Ukrainian team Natus Vincere faced off against FaZe Clan in the 1/12 playoffs stage. The match was played in a “Best of 3” format and ended with a 0-2 defeat for Na’Vi:
– 5:13 on Nuke,
– 14:16 on Mirage.
As a result, Aleksib’s team (Na’Vi) finished in 9th-12th place and exited the tournament. The Ukrainian organization’s team earned a prize of $23,500.
Interestingly, FaZe Clan had previously eliminated another Ukrainian team, Monte, in the first round of the playoffs. It is worth noting that Na’Vi had faced off against FaZe and won in the grand final of the first-ever CS2 Major in history.
